Someday

A day in the indefinite future… It could take a day, a month, a year, a decade, probably even a century before someday comes. It could even stretch to eternity! Imagine being told that you’d get what you wanted someday only to realize that it’s taking eternity to reach that someday. Quite a comforting idea, don’t you think?

Plans tend to be made on SOMEDAY in mind. Some people get to form a plan with a specific time frame. Others just put someday on the date of accomplishment of their plan. Mine would probably have a someday as well. Of the plans I have for someday are the following:

learn to play the violin – I have yet to buy a violin for myself.
find a better-paying job – I have yet to pass an application to that job.
learn how to swim – a skill that I should be getting before the ferry I take going to my hometown capsizes.
learn how to drive – a skill I should have even if I don’t have the car to drive yet. After all, it could be a necessity when I get somewhere else.
start a collection of books that I really wanted to read – a major feat at the price of books available locally.
climb the highest peak in the country – I haven’t even had my second climb yet!

The list could go on and on. After all, I have someday to accomplish them. For now, these are just a few that came to mind. I’ll check on this list every once in a while to see if I get around to crossing out some of them. Hopefully, someday comes sooner than eternity. Well, it had to!
